Lumask

Light, only where you want it.

Draw the areas to light on your projector and play videos and images inside every shape. Pixel-exact, live, with fades.

Drawing

Draw on light.

Rectangle, square, ellipse and free shape, right on the projector image. Every shape rotates, resizes and has its own soft edge.

Sources

Eight videos, at once.

Every shape gets its own content: up to 8 sources, A to H, each with a video or an image in its original format. On a Mac mini M2 Pro, eight 1080p videos play together without dropping a frame.

8 × 1080p · 0 dropped frames
Eight sources, eight different videos side by side
Linked

The content follows the shape.

Move, resize, rotate: the video stays stuck to the shape. Or unlink it and frame it as you like, with independent position, scale and rotation.

Magnet

No gaps, no overlaps.

Sides, centres and corners snap to the other shapes and to the canvas edges. Two surfaces side by side touch exactly.

Three panels snapped with the magnet: no gaps between shapes
Precision

A pixel is a pixel.

The canvas is the projector's whole screen, 16:9 or 4:3. The output is 1:1 and the test grid helps you line everything up on site.

Feather

Soft edges, to the pixel.

Every shape has its own feather in pixels: from the outline the light rises to full inside, with no halo outside the surface.

Where to use it

Every surface becomes a screen.

A projector, a Mac and the right shapes: light falls only on the chosen surfaces, everything else stays dark.

Theatre and dance

Sets that light up

Hanging panels, ellipses and triangles: one projector fills every piece of the set with its own video, without lighting the performers.

3D mapping

Facades and architecture

Arches, columns and rose windows cut out with the free shape: the video dresses the building and leaves windows and sky dark.

Concerts

Screens of any shape

Hexagons, circles and modules snapped together with the magnet: up to eight different sources in time with the show.

Launches and presentations

Faceted sets

Angled, faceted panels around the product: every face is a shape with its own video, and the light never touches the audience.

Everything you need at the desk.

Fades

Cut, 0.5, 1, 2 or 3 seconds, on every source.

Saved layouts

Save the masks of every stage and recall them with one click.

Video outside the cut-outs

The preview also shows, faintly, the part of the video that falls outside.

Test grid

Edges, centre and a circle that must stay round on the surface.

Undo everything

Every change can be undone and redone with ⌘Z.

Show-ready keys

B for black, G for the grid, 1–8 for the sources.

Loops included

Four 16:9 background videos to try it straight away.
